Introduction
RDI brought two SPARC based portables to the market, the BriteLite IPC and IPX. Rather than design a new SPARC mainboard, RDI designed the BriteLite series using the existing Sun SPARCstation_IPC and SPARCstation IPX mainboard. So, in essence, these systems are merely portable versions of the Sun IPC and IPX.
Tadpole acquired RDI in 1998.
