Slow install, but worked fine! GUI install was painfully slow, so aborted. I did get the error that Spot mentioned, regarding the mouse being inoperative during install. I have 2 cpu's, only one of which was detected. This was expected, as I think it was the 2.4 kernel that last had support for smp. Thanks for the good work, guys. |

Updated rpms manually from Aurora 2.0. Works fine. gdb didn't work well for me in Aurora 2.0, but it works now. |

Failed to detect built in cdrom. Upgraded from the already installed Aurora 2.0 (which is excellent straight off CD) using the rpm's and so far so good! |

DVD-ROM, text mode install over serial line |
Works! Installing via serial terminal is kind of strange, as Anaconda has been thought for VGA monitors, but once you're used to it it goes OK. As some SPARC servers don't have provisioning for keyboard and monitor, it would be worth to modify Anaconda to allow editing of Volume Groups during install. The ordering of ethernet interfaces (4) is scrambled; interfaces 0 and 1 show up as eth2 and eth3, and interfaces 2 and 3 show up as eth0 and eth1. |
